Η Καίτη Μαυρομμάτη γεννημένη στην Αλεξάνδρεια με σπουδές στην Ελλάδα και στο Παρίσι, έχει κάνει 9 ατομικές εκθέσεις, έχει λάβει μέρος σε ομαδικές στην Ελλάδα, Κύπρο, Γαλλία, Αμερική, Ρωσία, Βουλγαρία και έχει εκπροσωπήσει την Ελλάδα σε τρείς διεθνείς εκθέσεις, ατο Παρίσι, στη Brignoles { Γαλλία} και στο Μόντε Κάρλο.
Το 1982 επιλέχθηκε στους 10 Έλληνες ζωγράφους για την έκθεση τηε Ε.Ο.Κ. ” Νέοι Ευρωπαίοι Καλλιτέχνες”
Έργα της βρίσκονται στο Μουσείο Βορρέ, στην έδρα της Ε.Ο.Κ., στην Πινακοθήκη της Πάτρας, στην Πινακοθήκη Σύγχρονης Τέχνης Αιτωλοακαρνανίας, Χρήστου και Σοφίας Μοσχανδρέου, στο Ελληνικό Λογοτεχνικό και Ιστορικό Αρχείο {Ε.Λ.Ι.Α} και σε ιδιωτικές συλλογές στην Ελλάδα και στο εξωτερικό.

Katie Mavromati was born in Alexandria, Egypt. She graduated from the Doxiadis School of Graphic Design. Offered a scholarship by EOMMEX in 1973, she moved to Paris and studied ceramic painting for three years at the Ecole Nationale Superieure Des Arts Appliques and painting at the Ecole Nationale Superieure Des Beaux Arts (studio of Pierre Mathey). Among her many exhibitions, some include: Zygos Art Gallery (1982, 1984, 1987); Ianos Art Gallery (Thessaloniki 1989); Espace Kreonidis (Athens 1995); Cultural Centre—Hansen Venue (Patra 2001); Skoufa Art Gallery (Athens 2004); Marika Kotopouli Museum (Athens 2007); Hellenic Literary & Historical Archive (Athens 2007); and the Educational Centre of the Egyptian Embassy (Athens 2007).
Katie has also participated and been distinguished for her work in group exhibitions in Greece, Paris, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Russia and the United States. She represented Greece during three international exhibitions in Paris, Monte Carlo and Brignoles, France. In 1983, she was chosen amongst the 10 best painters in Greece for the Young European Artists Exhibition, organised by the EEC (European Economic Community). Paintings of hers are currently exhibited at: the European Parliament (Belgium); the Vorre Museum (Athens); the Public Gallery of Patras; Chris & Sophia Moschandreou’s Gallery of Modern Art (Aetoloacarnania, Greece); the Hellenic Literary & Historical Archive (ELIA) and among several private collections in Greece and abroad.
Her art archive can be found at ELIA, the Aristotelio University of Thessaloniki and the Library/Research Centre’s Archive Department of the National Museum of Women in the Arts (Washington, D.C.).
